There are many excellent books which bring the afterlife experience into the light.

They can open our minds to the realms of possibility & spiritual growth during the birth, life, death cycle that everyone experiences.

I strongly believe that the consciousness survives death, and this is due to both personal experience and also knowledge gained through studying, & research. In George Andersons excellent book ‘We Don’t Die’, he claims that everyone we love who dies simply goes to a parallel stage of life and that we are here only temporarily rather than the physical life being the ‘main course’ of our existence.

He also goes on to suggest we should of course place lesser importance on the material side of things, and that we should look within ourselves and understand ourselves better. After all you ‘can’t take it with you can you?’.What remains following physical death is our consciousness and we soon get used to being without a physical form according to the notes in April Crawfords excellent ‘Parting Notes, ‘ this is a book which contains small notes from those who want to tell us what it’s like to die and experience the afterlife, it provides in part salutary lessons that our surviving self without a body indeed reflects how we have lived our life and treated others, and that it’s just not enough to be ’sorry’ for past demeanours.

What strikes me in particular is that these departed souls wanted to communicate this information in order for us still on the mortal plain not to fear death – it was one of my great fears and now is not.

As Mark Twain said ‘why shouldn’t truth be stranger than fiction?’ Fiction after all has to make sense.

You may be wondering dear reader about my previous statement of experience driving my beliefs, there are many interesting and varied tales and I could quite easily fill 10 pages!

My most interesting and the tale that marks the start of my beliefs and also a new career in the metaphysical industry followed a psychic phone medium reading I experienced 4 years ago. As the owner of a highly enquiring mind the call was placed out of curiosity as I was experiencing a total life upheaval at the time, though I hasten to add a positive one. You see when you begin to believe your spiritual side begins to open up automatically and I can confirm I am now firmly on the progressive path and a proud spiritualist. Everyone is psychic, our abilities are simply hidden, but can be unearthed and cultivated.
