Sports betting system online sports betting

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Need to be told how to maximize your prize at the track? Or the learn the basics of sports betting? Sports betting is the general activity of predicting sports results by making a wager on the result of a sports event. Learning starter tips and techniques can seriously improve your sport-betting outcomes.

For the newbie, there’s instruction on what type of gambles are available and the way to place them. And there is detailed instruction on how to handicap sports occassions and figure out what bets are worth taking using complicated statistics analyses. I say that it’s a complete lesson in gambling the NFL because most examples that the writer gives are from the NFL. Lots of the book’s content can be applied similarly to other sports, and the writer often tells you exactly how to do that.

The range of sports occassions upon which TAB Limited and licensed bookmakers are permitted to offer betting is determined by the Minister for Gaming and Racing under section eighteen of the Racing Administration Act. Under section twenty, the Minister decides the bet types which bookmakers may offer on each sport.

If you’re serious about betting to win ( which implies you are ready to put in boring hours, and are totally controlled ), there are a few other books you might consider : any of Stanford Wong’s blackjack Books ; Larry Seidel’s “Investing in college Basketball” and Don Pesynski’s “Win more– lose less!”.

NFL Week 2 betting percentages : In expectation of the NFL Week two betting chances, there could be some things you may want to focus on in order not to get blindsided for absence of information. For instance, the situation going on with the Philadelphia Eagles and Donovan McNabb’s rib injury. I mean sports gambling percentages makers haven’t any idea what to do about this position.

Manchester United will be wishing for defenders this Christmas

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Saturdays defeat to Fulham was waiting to happen. Manchester United normally acquire a win when they put out a makeshift team but this did not work against a very in-form Fulham side.

United had again have to play with just one recognised first team defender with Patrice EVra at left back. Ritchie de Laet, the 21 year old defender was also involved but his inexperience showed as Fulham bolted up the midfield letting no one past.

With Fletcher and Carrick once again playing at full backs one could sense this Saturday afternoon was going to be tough against a team that are in such good form both in the Europa League and the Premiership. Nonetheless Manchester will be hoping their full strength first team defenders will be back as soon as possible as without them the title could be out of reach by the end of January.

How Manchester United now handle this situation over the next two weeks will be of great interest, none moreso than that of Chelsea who have a chance to go six points clear on Sunday afternoon versus West Ham. United will need to regroup, hope that maybe just one fo their first team defenders returns to the fray and solids things up at the back.

The likes of Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans and Gary Neville are players that any team would miss badly should they be injured. Liverpool are like a bad egg without two players, Gerrard and Torres, let alone a the full back 4 and then some.

The title will still go down to the wire, there will be more dropped points and Chelsea will really try and take advantage of Uniteds current situation as it will not go on forever. Regardless of who supports who this season it has to be said that this Premiership season is probably the most exciting there has been, top and bottom since the Premiership was formed, and one may expect a “final game of the season” climax. Saturdays result, with Sunday aside has pushed Chelsea to 2/1 on at the best online bookmakers.

Mark Hughes’ sacking just short of disgusting

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Let us be honest. It was on the cards as soon as the press got wind of Manchester Citys approach for Gus Hiddink, the manager of the Russian International team. The fact that City won yesterday was never going to change the minds of those on the City board.

The fact that they immediately appointed Roberto Mancini as manager proves that they did not get their first choice meaning they have probably gone for second or third best. It was always going to be a tough season for City who had spent so much money in the summer building their squad, the team would need to gel, there are too many cry baby players like Robinho, who, if they do not get enough first team action usually hide in the corner of the training ground.

Mark Hughes had purchased reasonably well and his record as a manager, with previous spells at Blackburn and as Wales manager, proved good enough to be made City manager after Sven Goran Ericssons departure three years ago. The team simply didn’t perform when it really mattered, against the lesser teams where they picked up far too many draws. It is all very well beating teams from the top four but Champions are made because they perform well against the lesser ones.

If players who are overpaid cannot be bothered to turn up the heat on a wet day in Wigan then they should not be playing. It was Manchester Citys defence that seemed to lack the most effort unless they were playing against Arsenal or Chelsea where more people around the World would be watching in awe at the talent on display. Doubts would be raised if such awe would be shown when City put in the lacklustre effort they showed against Bolton and Tottenham Hotspur drawing 3-3 and losing 3-0 respectively.

Now that Manchester City have a their 2nd choice manager in place, one wonders if Mancini will only be around until next summer when a contract will be built to lure the likes of one Jose Mourinho of Inter Milan. The sacking of Hughes is probably at the worst time it could possibly be with Christmas around the corner and more importantly perhaps, the January transfer window where City will believe buying more players will resolve their issues. They should look at selling some of their half hearted stars first.

The win on Saturday, Hughes’ sacking, and Mancini’s new role and taken their odds for the title in from 60/1 to 50/1 at the best online bookmakers.

The Good and Bad of Limit Holdem

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Following is an analysis of the pros and cons of one of the variations of poker that may be helpful to you. Once upon a time, Limit Hold’em was the most played online poker game. There remain on the net many low and medium limit games in the poker rooms, and a few with a $100/$200 limit. It continues to be the easiest game to find and is a sure bet to continue on that path as only a few players are able to rise to the $20/$40 level.

What may be considered a significant plus of the game is the amount of literature devoted to it: many of the contemporary books on poker are devoted to limit games. It is a well studied game and it is possible that a thorough student may learn much from the experience of others. As a result decisions are simpler to make in limit hold’em and most of them are easily supportable by basic mathematic tools for quick mental in-game calculations.

Moreover, dispersion is less of a threat in limit games. That coldly calculating deity determines the chances of every player involved at a given moment and even the worst and unluckiest rookie may luck out (if you don’t want to go into actual statistics, just read any of Terry Pratchett’s hapless-Rincewind novels for a dramatization of this point of games and life).

There is virtually no poker game untouched by statistical dispersion. Huge losses happen to the most expert of players, a major deterrent to a lot of would-be players. Higher dispersion rates can be found in no-limit and tournament games making limit poker less intensive psychologically. Limit Hold’em can be indulged in with little money in one’s bank and there are several unique computer programs designed for limit poker. Two of which are Poker Tracker and Poker Office. These programs are very helpful especially for low limit players. They can be of use during play as well as after whenever you need to analyze or calculate statistics of the game at any point.

Now for the bad and the ugly. Because of the quantity of information available on the game, there is a large and ever-growing number of knowledgeable, skilled players. So the game while it is easy to find, is not very profitable. Poker rooms make their money from the small amount taken out of the pot for each hand. So, poker rooms earn money not from the number of players, but from the percentage of the total number of hands played at the end of a long series of poker hands. This sum more often than not turns out to be quite a tidy one. Limit games which include good players can wind up with minimal profitability or even a loss.

Finally, limit holdem is not widespread offline, offers little exposure to the nonvirtual outside world, and lacks the aspects which make casino and club games so rich in important and memorable experience. Certainly, those who love the game find most memorable that which is the essence of poker – the combinations of cards; but just like talking face to face to a company of people is more memorable than chanting to a hundred “friends” in ICQ, so playing poker at an actual table of wood (rather than of 1024768 pixels) you can actually knock on (makes a nice bluff) makes for a more intense and exciting experience.

The Truth About the 97% Sports Betting Systems

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Online sports bettors everywhere have seen the ads. You know the ones that claim they win 97% of the time. Have you ever wondered what the truth was about those things?

I’ll tell you. They all revolve around a certain situation that happens in a sport and progressive betting a series of games that take place between teams in the situation.

Do the systems work as advertised? Well, when you think that they are advertised to make you wealthy on your next bet, the answer is no. The products are all over hyped in that respect.

If there is one thing I know for sure in this world, you are never one click away from a million dollars. The 97% betting systems are no exception.

That is not to say they have no value. By looking at the underlying principles you get an understanding of how all sports betting systems work. That information can be very valuable in the right hands.

You can make some money betting with the systems as long as you use your head. Progressive betting can get out of hand quickly if you are not careful. If the system deals you a loss on the three game progression, you are out the equivalent of AT LEAST 7 wins.

I learned a lot about successful betting from the 97% programs. Some of it was what not to do, but some was invaluable to helping me build my own betting systems for every sport I bet.

Building your own systems is really the key to successful betting.

Perfecting Your Poker Persona

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Why is that many serious players of the game of poker want to project a stoic persona? Could they be trying to hide their tells by emitting a somber, almost zombie-like presence? They come off as moody and sinister behind those dark glasses and hooded sweatshirts, like maybe they have holsters and a lightning draw ala Wyatt Earp. Do they know how they appear to others, do they care?

There has to be some reason for their intimidating, arrogant persona. They may be attempting to confuse and frighten their opponents, to keep them from challenging their play (and wallets). Or it may be they have taken on this image because they lack the wit to come up with any other. If you truly are a sinister intimidating bully, then this persona may work for you. Most who try to pull this off look like they themselves are scared and have gone into hiding.

You should think carefully about the image you project. The bully persona, even if done well, is probably not effective. It may work on some opponents, but mostly it works against you. It may also attract the type of opponents that you want to steer clear of – the experts. If you sit there looking like a hawk, your prey will run in the opposite direction.

It may have exactly the opposite effect and attract the more secure, professional players who are looking for such an atmosphere so they can practice intimidation and arrogance on you. These guys may be difficult to get rid of because they may sense you to be the weaker player and proceed to empty your wallet. This will keep them coming back for more.

If the sullen, serious type isn’t really you, you are spending way too much time on your phony image and not enough on your cards. It is almost impossible to play several rounds of poker with an impassive faade. While you do need a special poker persona to strategically manipulate situations to your advantage, it should be one that is comfortable for you, not one which takes a lot of concentration to maintain. Your concentration should be focused on reading your opponents personae and the cards that are dealt.

It is probably not a good idea to be completely natural at the poker table, a friendlier, more outgoing image will result in greater enjoyment of the game for you and everyone else. If you are not naturally a gregarious individual, practice being more so.

Keeping up a persona radically antithetical to yourself won’t allow your full potential to unfold, since you are virtually playing poker in a straightjacket, while the effort saps even more of your concentration without contributing any vigor to your game.

Thus, shades and a baseball cap in the dimly lit poker room may only seem to require less effort. It may be better, for the professional player, to spend some time observing one’s own ways and selectively organizing them into the poker player you wish to be and actually can be at the table.

How To Build Your Own Sports Betting Systems

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Many people have heard of the sports betting systems that claim to win 97% of their bets. They are being sold all over the internet for about 200 bucks.

I will not comment on the systems other than to say that they all use progressive betting and pose a risk of a fairly substantial loss when they do lose a bet.

A perfect system is not required. You don’t have to win anywhere near 97% of your bets to do very well as a professional sports bettor. You are far better off accepting a great system as one that will win two out of three games for you consistently.

Building a sports betting system starts with a very specific situation that produces an advantage one way or the other. Home field is probably the best place to start.

From there you should find either a particular stat that ties into the home field advantage. Perhaps a motivational factor that is present in the game can be added.

The key is to pick a few factors related to your basic situation that have shown to be consistent indicators of an increased probability of a certain result.

It’s not really that difficult to hit 60% once you have a basic system that gives you a consistent edge. All it takes is to fid a couple of consistencies that seem to indicate a win or a loss to occur.

If you are going to bet on sports, you really owe it to yourself to learn how to develop your own betting systems. Or would you rather waste endless hours looking at stats?

The Secret to Being a Professional Sports Bettor

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Sports betting is a lot of fun. Every week millions of die hard sports fans bet tens of millions of dollars on the outcome of one sporting event or another.

Most of those dollars are lost. If not on one event, over the course of the season. But for a lucky few who know the secret, winning is a common occurrence.

Those are the professional sports bettors. They make their living by betting on the outcome of sporting events. Some make a very good living. But they all have a secret.

It’s in their personal betting systems. Without them, they would be nothing more than making guesses based on irrelevant statistics. The same as you probably do now.

You don’t hear the professionals talk about their system. You don’t see them posted on the internet. And you never will.

Here is your blueprint for building a Sports Betting System

The secret is in the systems they have built and use to bet with. It consistently picks winners, so they consistently win with it. And it will go with them to their grave.

If you want to bet like a pro and make your living doing it, you will need to design and refine your own team picking systems and a betting strategy to go with it.

You don’t need a 97% winning system to be successful. If you spend your life looking for it you will never get ahead. The bookies already know about all of those systems anyway.

All you need is a system for picking teams that will win at least 60% of your bets. They are not that hard to find if you go about it the right way. And once you can make a living off of your systems, I bet you will keep them a secret too.

Sports Betting Systems … What They Are and Who Needs Them

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

Everybody makes a bet now and then. For millions of people now and then is every time a sports game is played. For 95% of those people, it will be a losing proposition.

The rest are those who use their heads about betting. Rather than placing a wager on their favorite teams every game, they bet on situations identified by their betting systems as having a higher probability of winning.

That’s what a betting system is. A way for the user of the system to gain an advantage in the probabilities of the outcome of a game. It’s an organized way to go about finding winning situations and betting them.

Some systems are sold online for as much as $197 and claim to win 97% of the bets. But they all use progressive betting for a three game series to get that winning percentage.

How big of an advantage are they really. Lets look at some numbers to get a clear picture .

If you are looking at a coin toss, you have a 97% chance of winning if you use five progressions. That is, double the bet for four losses. The online betting systems use a progression of three. That is, double the bet for two losses.

If you had a system that could win 2 out of 3 games, that is 66%, you would have a 97% chance of winning on a three bet progression. So the series of games averages out to a 66% chance the team will win any given game in the 97% systems.

Anybody who is looking to make money betting on sports has to have a system to find increased probabilities for a win and to control the betting strategy.

If you want to be successful as a sports bettor, you DO need a system. Maybe not a $197 miracle bet, but something that will win consistently over the course of the season.

Sports Betting and the 97% Miracle

December 20, 2009 Zen No Comments

When I first started sports betting years ago, I used to see the advertisements for foolproof betting systems just about everywhere. One clams 97%, so the next claims 98%.

I just wrote off those systems as the sports betting equivalent of a get rich quick scheme. They surely are marketed that way. The sales pages scarcely mention sports, but are loaded with stories about how much you will make.

As I learned more about betting, and winning, I decided to look into the systems a little closer. What I found was that all of the programs had two things in common.

First, they all use progressive betting. Most are three game series based, as well as being based on three progressions. You pick three games, bet on each one in the series until you win. If you lose three in a row, you lose the bet and start over.

Here is your blueprint for building a winning sports betting system.

Second, they are all situation based. They do not consider which teams are playing, only the situation in which the games take place. That in itself is a lesson worth learning.

According to my non genius mathematics, if you have a system that wins half off the games it picks (same as a coin toss), and you bet a five game progression, you have a 94% chance of winning one of those bets.

With one of the miracle systems, you have a 97% chance on a three bet progression. Any system that can pick two out of three winners will do the same thing.

With the 97%ers, the miracle is in the progressive betting of a good system. There’s no reason you can’t just build your own.
